A naming ceremony gives parents an opportunity to gather with family and friends to welcome a new child into the world. A naming ceremony is different to a christening because the main focus is not religion but rather that of the child and family.

Every naming ceremony is created to be unique to the family. It may be that you want the day to be themed around your child's favourite book, love for a certain toy or you may want a more traditional ceremony. Parents and family members may want to make promises to the new baby in a similar way to that of Godparents and readings or childrens songs could be shared.
